Description
The Signum 3000 is an intelligent instrument for research, production and servicing of electronic equipment such as computers and terminals (CORAL, INDEPENDENT, CUB, DAF, VDT), made by IEMI in Bucharest [1]. It is in IEMI’s 1988 range, and the book counts it among the company’s modern, high-technology products [1].
Annex III.2.10 calls it a multimeter with signature analysis: it combined a signature analyser (clock up to 10 MHz), a multimeter, a digital frequency meter and a transition counter, so that the analogue parameters and the digital behaviour of circuit nodes could be measured without switching functions. Its functions could be programmed from the panel or through an RS 232 interface, with autoranging, automatic calibration and self-diagnosis at power-on [2].
