Description
The SG-R2 is a triaxial satellite magnetometer built at IFA, the second step after the SG-R1: with the same detector, its resolution rose to 17 bits (1.5 nT) [1]. It was fitted in 1979 to the IK-20 (OKEAN) satellite and worked for five months, the satellite’s lifetime [1]. It was followed by the SG-R3 [1].
