Description

The SG-R3 is a triaxial satellite magnetometer built at IFA, the third step after the SG-R1 and SG-R2: it used an improved Soviet transducer, the DSR-1, for more accurate vector measurement [1]. It flew on the IK-21 satellite, launched in 1981, and worked for the satellite’s whole life [1].
