Description
The MC-84 is a multichannel analyser from IFIN (IFA), part of the high-resolution gamma spectrometry chain with a Ge(Li) or HP-Ge detector developed for the Cernavodă nuclear power plant, which reached an approved prototype ready for delivery [1]. It has a Wilkinson analogue-to-digital converter (0–10 V input, 1 kΩ input impedance, integral non-linearity better than ±0.02% over 99% of the dynamic range), an internal CRT graphic display, an internal processor that computes the integral area, the area selected by cursor and spectrum normalisations, and TTY, printer, X/Y plotter and RS232C interfaces [1]. In the chain it worked with the NIM 1141 preamplifier, the NIM 1117 analogue processor and a type 1134 high-voltage supply [1].
