Description

The I4108 is a DC voltage source of 30 V and 1 A, made by IEMI in Bucharest [1]. IEMI’s production table lists 2,697 units made in 1977–1985 [1].

IEMI’s price list, which describes it as a 40 V, 1 A source, gives 6,900 lei, set in 1982 [2].

Annex III.2.14 says it supplied linear or logic circuits in full safety, with crowbar overvoltage protection and current protection by passing to constant-current operation, shown by two LEDs (constant voltage or constant current); it was built in the 0.01% stability class with silicon semiconductors and operational amplifiers and gave 0–30 V at 0.05–1 A, which agrees with the 30 V of the production table rather than the 40 V of the price list [3].
