Description
The NTS-T is a level switch with a rod probe, made by IEMI in Bucharest [1]. IEMI’s production table lists 2,727 units made in 1971–1976 [1].
Annex III.2.11 calls it NTS-T in its list but NSC-T in its description. It controlled and signalled the level of liquid, powdered or granular material in tanks, silos and bunkers, using the change in capacitance between the tank and a metal rod electrode inserted through an insulating seal. The code after NSC-T gave the nominal pressure (1 or 6 kgf/cm²), the probe length and the type of control (A minimum, B maximum): for example, the NSC-T16A was a minimum-level switch with a 350 mm probe for atmospheric pressure. The transducer and the supply-and-control unit were in cast aluminium cases (IP 43), and the output relay was a CF1-30154 made by Electromagnetica [2].
