RCS 001

The RCS 001 is a portable stereo radio-cassette recorder made by Electronica in Bucharest from 1985 [1]; chapter I of the book gives 1984 [2]. A modernised version was the RCS 002 [1].

From 1985 Electronica launched on the home market new families of complex audio products: the RCS portable stereo radio-cassette recorders and “mini-rack” stereo systems (a tuner with LW, MW, SW and FM, with FM reception to both OIRT and CCIR standards, a cassette deck, a stereo power amplifier and optional speakers) [1]. They were very well received at home, and from 1987 large quantities were exported to the Netherlands [1].
