RCS 002

The RCS 002 is a portable stereo radio-cassette recorder made by Electronica in Bucharest from 1986, a modernised version of the RCS 001 with a tuning and stereo level indicator made with light-emitting diodes [1].

From 1985 Electronica launched on the home market new families of complex audio products: the RCS portable stereo radio-cassette recorders and “mini-rack” stereo systems (a tuner with LW, MW, SW and FM, with FM reception to both OIRT and CCIR standards, a cassette deck, a stereo power amplifier and optional speakers) [1]. They were very well received at home, and from 1987 large quantities were exported to the Netherlands [1].
