Description
The ADA 03 is an amplifier with an audible alarm for radiotelephones, a modernised, more reliable ADA 02, made by IEMI in Bucharest [1]. IEMI made radiotelephones under a licence bought in 1968 from the Swedish firm SRA (Svenska Radio Aktiebolaget), later modernised by IEMI itself; they were used in industry, on the railways, in rescue services, agriculture, transport, construction, by the police and the fire brigade [1].
According to annex III.2.15 the ADA 03 gave 20 W into 16 Ω for the alarm signal (the ADA 02 25 W), including a two-tone signal with each tone held for 1 s; it drew up to 4.5 A with a signal and 300 mA without [2].
