Description
The HA 25.00 is a series of oil-impregnated paper capacitors for alternating current, in a cylindrical can 40 mm in diameter with two solder tags on one end, made to STAS 9190-73 for general use in AC circuits [1]. The Agenda radioelectronistului (2nd edition, 1989) lists eight package codes, HA 25.75 to HA 25.82, with 2–7.5 µF at 250–600 V AC; the 1st edition (1983) has the same table [1][2].
The Agenda does not say which works made the series: for the whole section on capacitors made in Romania it lists IPEE Electroargeș of Curtea de Argeș, Tehnoton of Iași, IIS Electronica of Bucharest and IPRS Băneasa as producers, and the 1st edition (1983) names only the first three [3][4]. It was made by IPRS Băneasa, which also designed the HPA and HSA paper capacitors put into production in 1972 [5].
Coded as [3]:
| Part | Meaning |
|---|---|
| HA | construction type (structure, use): oil-impregnated or waxed paper capacitor, for alternating current |
| 25 | technological family („familia tehnologică”) |
| 75…82 | package code („codul capsulei”) |
The capacitors are marked in clear with the climatic category and the other characteristics – nominal capacitance, tolerance and rated voltage; the book’s example is an HMC 33 02 marked „0,25 µF ± 20% 150 Vcc” and „10/070/74” [3].
The table gives the maximum length Lmax of each package; the diameter, 40 ± 0.5 mm, is given in fig. 20.3, where the two solder tags are 16 mm apart [1].
