T600F1200

The T600F1200 is the head of the series of fast thyristors of IPRS Băneasa, made for metro, tram and trolleybus car drives, AC electric locomotives, high-frequency heating installations and the train heating supply of the 2,500 hp locomotive [1]. Its normal counterpart was the T700N1600 [1]. Section 2300 (diodes and thyristors) of IPRS, set up in 1968, started with a SILEC Semiconducteurs licence for four families of silicon rectifier diodes, which brought mesa technology to Romania; in 1981 an AEG licence was bought for medium-power thyristors, for the electronic equipment of the LDE and LE locomotives [1].
