Description
The CENA-1S (Calculator Electronic Numeric al Armatei, Staționar, the army’s stationary digital electronic computer) is a computer designed by the team of about 50 computer specialists of the Ministry of National Defence, drawing on the experience of the creators of MECIPT at the Timișoara Polytechnic Institute [1]. The CENA computers were made at Electronica in ten units up to 1966 and equipped the army’s four corps [1]. It was followed by the mobile CENA-2M [1].
