Description

The Milcov 2 S 724 is a simple transistor table radio of the popular type for export, for long and medium waves, made by Electronica in Bucharest [1]. The Milcov family, with an improved circuit, went into production in 1971; these sets could be fed from the mains or from batteries, and very many versions were exported [1]. It followed the Milcov 1.

It was made for export at Tehnoton in Iași: to Senegal in 1975 and to Sudan in 1976 [2].

In the source table, sensitivity is given on medium waves for 50 mW output and a 20 dB signal-to-noise ratio, selectivity for a signal ±9 kHz (AM) or ±300 kHz (FM) away, and output power at no more than 10% distortion [1].
