Description
The Telecolor 5602 is a colour television set made by Electronica in Bucharest from 1988, from the first series of the first Romanian-designed colour sets, with the Telecolor 5601 [1]. Its programming system combined a mechanical band switch and eight tuning potentiometers made at Conect with an electronic channel switch using IPRS SAS 560S and SAS 570S circuits and Microelectronica LEDs; the decoder used TCA640, TCA650 and TBA540 circuits from IPRS or Tesla [1].
In 1988 Electronica launched the first colour television set of its own design, made possible by the experience gained with the imported sets and by Romanian components: line transformers from IEI, delay lines from Electro Argeș, programmers from Conect, ferrites from Urziceni and active components from IPRS [1]. It was designed by Mihai Gănescu with a team; its vertical chassis was largely similar to that of the Cromatic, with a Romanian MOSFET channel selector and a redesigned programmer and colour decoder [1]. The sets had headphone and tape sockets and audio-video connections for a video recorder, and drew at most 110 VA [1]. Two series were made, the Telecolor 5601/5602 and the Telecolor 5603, which differed in the programmer, decoder and video module [1].
