Description

The Tonitza VS 43-621 A is a black-and-white tube television set made by Electronica in Bucharest [1]. The annex lists it with the Azur VS 43-621, as an improved version of the French-licence base circuit with partly Romanian components; its cabinet has ventilation windows [1]. The text instead names the Tonitza (VS 43-621) among the sets derived from the Japanese National series, whose video bandwidth Electronica’s engineers widened from 3 MHz to 5 MHz [1].

With the Luchian, it opened the series of Romanian TV sets named after great 19th-century Romanian painters [1].

In the source table, video sensitivity is given for 6 V rms on the picture-tube cathode, sound sensitivity for 50 mW output, the selectivity values are, in order, the rejection of the own sound carrier, of the lower adjacent sound carrier, of the upper adjacent picture carrier, of the IF and of the image frequency, and the audio response at −3 dB [1].
