Description
The Sport 235 is a low-consumption portable black-and-white television set made by Electronica in Bucharest from the mid-1980s [1]. Its lower consumption came mainly from a Soviet 31 cm picture tube with 90° deflection instead of the 110° tubes of the other portables [1]. The chassis was rationalised to cut weight and cost: the large aluminium shields of the IF module were replaced by a small tinned can on each coil [1]. It was designed by C. Roznovan with Alex. Costescu [1].
