Description
The Nordic S 652 TA is a transistor table radio with long, medium, short waves and FM, made by Electronica in Bucharest from 1966 as the table version of the Mamaia portable, approved in 1965 [1][2]. It uses the same Japanese and Romanian transistor types and wavebands, with 1 W output, tone control, fine tuning on short waves and a choice of battery or mains supply [2]. The Nordic table sets broadened the range of AM-FM transistor radios and were also exported successfully [1]. A mechanically improved version was the Nordic 2 [1].
In the source table, sensitivity is given on medium waves for 50 mW output, selectivity for a signal ±9 kHz away, and output power at 10% distortion [2].
